I'm a homeowner in my 40s living in the suburbs of Philadelphia. My house is a typical 3,300 sq ft two-story home with a basement, sitting on 0.31 acres. The property includes a 25,000 gallon in-ground swimming pool. The house runs on electric with a solar system, battery backup, and a heat pump with oil backup for heating.

Why This Site?

I'm a new homeowner, and all my prior experience has been living in apartments in the city. There are a lot of tools and appliances that I need to purchase now, and I'm learning how to maintain this house and property as I go.

As a computer programmer, detailed research is in my wheelhouse. I spend hours researching everything I purchase, and I wanted to share that research with others who might be in the same situation.
